Join us for a spectacular cultural celebration featuring REQUIOS, the acclaimed creative performing arts troupe from Okinawa. Known for their dynamic and innovative stage interpretations, REQUIOS blends traditional Okinawan arts—such as Eisa Taiko (drum dancing) and the captivating Shishimai (Lion Dance)—into unforgettable performances.

The name Requios originates from a term used by Portuguese explorers during the Ryukyu Kingdom’s era of maritime trade. They described the Ryukyuan people as “Requios”—meaning friendly, unarmed, and peace-loving—a spirit that continues to define Okinawan culture today.

Special Guest Performers: 🎵 Tatsuya Nakasone – TAIYOFU ORCHESTRA Wadaiko (Japanese drumming) artist 🎶 Mion – Sanshin musician, singer-songwriter, and Master Instructor of the Nomura School of Classical Ryukyuan Music
